This ward has a six-bed male section and eight-bed female section and is one of the busiest units at the facility. All patients are managed before and after surgery by well trained nurses. Staff work together with a well functioning operating room staff in ensuring quality patient care is provided before and after surgery.

There is one Nursing Officer, Registered General Nurses, six Enrolled Nurses and two ward assistants. Surgical interventions such as prostatectomy, myomectomy, appendectomy, laparotomy and others are among the surgeries performed in the department. Patient care is aided by oxygen therapy and pulse oximetry monitoring. A family centered approach to care is practiced in the department at all times. This promotes quality patient care and ensure family bonding throughout the healing process.
